SHIPPING NOTICE

Currently, candle orders will only be shipped out on Mondays and Tuesdays due to heat.

This is to (hopefully) avoid any issues with candles waiting in hot mail sorting facilities over weekends (although there’s no telling with USPS, Fedex, or UPS.)

Candle Care & Instructions

  • Trim the wick EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Each time you want to burn your candle, trim the wick to 1/8-1/4 in using scissors, wick cutter, or even nail clippers. After trimming, make sure the wick is straight before lighting. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning, dripping, or flaring and can be a fire hazard.

  • The first burn is the most important! Candles should burn one hour for every 1 inch in diameter of the actual candle size. (Ex: 2 inches across should burn for 2 hours) If a candle is not burned long enough to allow the wax to melt from edge to edge, it will create a “memory ring.” Once a candle has a “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel for the life of the candle. Do not burn a candle for the first time if you do not have the time to wait!!

  • Do not burn candles for longer than 4 hours at a time. Carbon will collect on the wick and cause it to “mushroom.” This can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame to become too large, or the candle can over-heat and become a fire hazard.

  • Let candle cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.

  • Keep the flame away from “moving” air; fans, heaters, air conditioners, open windows, air vents, or even heavily trafficked areas where people are walking back and forth. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, weak scent, and excess soot.

  • Burn candles in a well ventilated but NOT DRAFTY room.

  • NEVER LEAVE CANDLE UNATTENDED WHILE BURNING!

  • ALWAYS burn a candle on a heat and fire safe surface that is fire resistant, sturdy, and large enough to safely hold candle.

  • Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire, keep them away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, papers, flammable decor, or anything else that will burn easily.

  • Keep candles out of reach of children AND pets.

  • Keep wax clear of wick trimmings, match pieces, and debris.

  • Never touch or move a candle while it’s burning.

  • STOP burning/using candle when 1/4-1/2in of wax remains in the container.

  • Place burning candles at least 3in apart from one another.

  • Extinguish candle if flame is flickering repeatedly or if flame becomes too high.

  • Never use a candle as night light or when you may fall asleep.

  • Be very careful if using candles as a light source during a power outage. Do not use them to walk around your house or to look in small spaces like closets.

  • Store candles in a cool, dark, and dry place with the lid on securely to protect the wax, wick, and fragrance and keep the candle free of dust and debris.
